The description of the seller is misleading. The item does not fit the akai mk3 mini PLAY. Most likely it is made just for the mpk mini.

Does the job for something to noodle on from couch for practice. The sounds are very general midi circa 1998, but it does what I need it to do, and the pads are very decent for the price

I should have read the reviews. This may fit the original MiniPlay, but it does NOT fit the Mk3. There is no reason that this should not be specified in the product description.It's about 1/4" too short front-to-back to fit the Mk3. That said, my MiniPlay is on a 45 degree stand, and this is good enough to keep the dust off, so I'm not going to go through the hassle of returning it.
