I've been using this on my Q2M as a thumb grip. I didn't like the Leica branded thumb grip, made the button harder to push. ANd I didn't want to spend over $125 for the next recommended thumb grip, so I ordered this much more affordable alternative instead. It was a pretty tight fit on my Q2M flash shoe, but since I almost never use the flash shoe on the Q2M, I decided it wasn't a big deal. This one curves around the back button pretty well. No sharp edges so the thumb slides down finding the back button much better. I had a different thumb grip that I sold with my Q2 that the edges were sharp and made the grip uncomfortable. This one is much better. As for the finish, it looks okay on the Q2M, mine came with a little scratch on the finish, so I imagine the "brassing" will be rapid, but I'm not usually concerned about that on the Leica.
