much more solid and better quality than I expected for the price.I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband since he's been wanting a banjolele for a while and it did not disappoint! it's amazing how iut of one instrument you can get a banjo and a ukulele sound, haven't heard ine of these before but it sounds great.would definitely recommend!

Sulla foto è raffigurato il contenuto della scatola.A sinistra: il banjolele con la prima corda che ho dovuto sostituire e sopra di esso i 5 plettri di cui i due rosa morbidi e spessi circa 2 mm, l'accordatore e la dima per posizionare il ponte.Al centro: la pezzetta per la pulizia, la muta cannibalizzata di corde con la chiave per tirare il tamburo, un pickup, l'elastico per la busta di nylon, la corda rotta e la tracolla.A destra la busta di nylon e la custodia.Allora, perché dico che è un reso?1) l'elastico stava a spasso per la scatola.2) l'accordatore l'ho trovato pieno di ditate e con la scatola aperta.3) la prima corda non si riusciva ad accordare perché tirandola usciva dal buco del ponte passacorde essendo probabilmente stata posizionata in modo errato, ho provato a fare un nodo per ingrandire la testa sul buco ma si è rotta e comunque era molto più corta del normale.4) il banjolele dovrebbe essere stato venduto fuori dall'Italia perché non è uguale a quello in descrizione ed ha in piú sulla cassa, come da foto, la protezione per l'avambraccio e il pickup.Non ci sono spiegazioni sull'uso della chiave per la regolazione del tamburo. Ho trovato alcuni dadi lenti per cui li ho stretti cercando di trovare la stessa resistenza su tutti e 12.L'accordatore risente delle altre corde che vanno in risonanza, perciò bisogna stoppare le altre 3, però può rilevare le note nelle modalità: cromatica, chitarra, basso, violino, ukulele in do e ukulele in re. Usato su un ukulele di legno si comporta bene, sul banjolele è meno indicato di un altro accordatore in mio possesso.Le meccaniche della terza e quarta corda fanno dei piccoli scatti.Ovviamente non mantiene nemmeno nel breve periodo l'accordatura, vedremo tra un paio di giorni.Il suono è come quello che si sente nel video e sui vari video su YouTube.L'action non è alta e considerato che difficilmente si suona sui tasti oltre l'ottavo, penso che la lascerò così com'è, a meno che non mi prenda la curiosità di provare a regolarla.Per adesso è tutto, se non aggiorno è perché ne rimango soddisfatto.L'aggiornamento:Ho fatto il reso perché il banjolele non mantiene l'accordatura.Essendo un prodotto già reso e secondo me la dotazione di serie è migliore di quello raffigurato nella descrizione, una su tutte la protezione sui bulloni, proprio perché già provato da altri posso pensare che già avesse questo problema.Se funzionano correttamente le meccaniche è da 5 stelle.

I've wanted a banjolele for a long time, but, already owning several ukuleles, I couldn't really justify spending a lot on one, so I started researching the budget end of the market.Unsurprisingly in these depths it's usually a case of "here be monsters", but a couple of models kept surfacing as potentially decent, and the Aklot Banjolele was one of them. I found out as much as I could, and the positive buzz around this model eventually gave me the confidence to take the plunge into the terrifying waters of cheap online instrument buying.I needn't have worried. It has the fit and finish expected of a much more expensive instrument. A proper Remo drumhead, geared tuners, front and side position markers - no rough frets, splinters or wood splits here.I was dubious about the maple fretboard as I've only ever used rosewood, but it's incredibly smooth and a real pleasure to fret - when you add in the width of the nicely shaped neck, and the ultra low action (how high the strings sit) this is the most comfortable and easy to play ukulele (of any kind) that I've ever picked up - it would be absolutely perfect for a beginner.Something that made me procrastinate for a long time about buying a banjolele was that I'd have to set the bridge up myself. Although I've been playing for a few years I've never messed around with the set up of a uke; I've never even changed any strings on my own before, so a floating banjo bridge was daunting. This turned out to be much easier than expected; the plastic installation guide included in this set was great, and took all of the uncertainty out of it. Everything was in place and ready to play within a few minutes.I've seen some video reviews where this model had a cool looking metal hand plate attached to the pot, which is not seen in the photos of this Amazon listing, so if anyone was wondering, mine did come with the metal plate.Although it did come with a strap, I've not had any cause to use it. While a banjolele is obviously a lot heavier than a traditional uke with all that metal, I've found this one to be very nicely balanced and extremely comfortable and secure to play standing up without a strap - something I've always found difficult with my other ukes.The tuner it comes with is perfectly decent, it's one more thing you won't have to spend extra on, so you really can start playing right out of the box. The gig bag is fine for storing your uke around the house, but I would definitely look into a padded or solid case if you're going to be travelling with it.Downsides. There was one, one wobbly tuning peg, but this isn't going to affect my 5 star rating. Why not? Because a small fault like this could easily be present on a much more expensive uke; the otherwise solid and quality finish of the Aklot doesn't suggest sloppiness in their building process, and no other reviews online have mentioned this problem. I have the same, or uncannily similar, tuners on my other concert ukulele and they've always been fine. so I think it's an unfortunate anomaly and just "one of those things".Aklot were true to their word, and the customer service to find a solution to the issue was excellent. They were quick to respond, pleasant, and we got the peg replaced at no extra cost to me.I love this banjolele, it's been addictive and so much fun to play, I'm extremely happy with the purchase. I don't think it's possible to find better value for money in the budget banjolele market, and Aklot deserve to be a well known brand.

Realmente sorprendido de tan buena calidad por este precio. Buenos materiales, bonito, buena construccion, buen sonido i agradable i divertido de tocar. Como todo instrumento nuevo, se puede ajustar i mejorar la experiencia con el, he profundizado las hendiduras de la cejilla i rebajado los pies del puente para conseguir acercar mas las cuerdas al mastil, asi es mas facil i agradable de tocar. Recomiendo su compra.

Bought for hubby’s birthday. He loves it! Came with lots of little bits (case and some metal things that to me look like instruments of torture but are in fact to use for plucking or something like that) Great price and a real good looking instrument!
