The Alessi dog bowls have been thoughtfully designed and have proven to be enduringly excellent purchases for our two German Shepherds. The metal bowl is removable from the plastic base and bone stem, easily dismantled, easy to wash, very durable (both still look new after 9 years of use) meet our design needs and cater to the feeding volume of a larger dog breed.

The Italian dog bowl is so awesome that I ordered a second one. I got the orange color. The stainless steel bowl is very high quality, heavy and finely polished.It’s fun and quirky so I just had to have two.You pop the bone into the back and construct it upon arrival in that way.I also purchased the small bowl that has a lid with a Snoopy-looking dog on top. You just grab the Snoopy, and inside is a high quality, shiny and heavy stainless steel bowl. If your smaller to medium sized dog doesn't want her meal yet, then just pop the lid on to keep the meal nice—and keep any stronger odors from escaping in the case of wet foods.I like Alessi goods.*I also have the paper towel holder. (You might need to cut part of your paper towel roll down with this holder as I did.) I just flattened part of the roll on a butcher block, took a large kitchen knife and cut about one-third off to use otherwise; it made an extra ultra small paper towel roll. Then you put the larger roll (the remaining two-thirds of the roll) into your Alessi bunny-with-carrot paper towel holder. I bought the white with orange, but the alien green bunny is cute for some folks, I’m sure.

This is the second one we have purchased as we live between two houses. By far the best bowl. Looks cool and modern and also it's totally curved so no food gets stuck in the corners.Yes, it's expensive, however you need to remember that it gets used twice a day and will most likely put live you.
