There’s a lot of plastic canvas, which is nice. But the needles that come with the set don’t fit through the holes, so you can’t use it if you don’t have the right needle size at home. My kids were disappointed and I have to go find needles somewhere else now.

This is perfect for my 8 year old who is not ready for standard aida, but wants to create his own designs. Came with extras such as needles and clips, as a seasoned crafter I was very impressed with the range. The only downside is the plastic needles don't fit through the holes, but he prefers a metal needle anyway and we can use the others for something else. If you had no other craft items at home, you'd want to purchase some metal embroidery needles alongside this.
