Not a whole lot to say about this stuff. Its Flux, it works well and gets the job done. I will purchase more when this runs out.

I ordered this flux to see if it would work on my etched brass projects as well as electronics projects, and I was surprised how well it did on brass. I was soldering .010" half hard brass wire to soft etched brass details, and I only had to dip the end of the wire in the flux nozzle, then touch the hole in the etched brass with the flux, and tin the end of the wire, then push it into the hole with the tip of the soldering iron for half a second, and the tinning had fused with the hole in the etched brass. One nice solid part now.I found a little residual flux, and brushed with 91% isopropyl to clean it up. The syringe comes with 2 different nozzles, and I used the fine tip, which dispensed a very small quantity, just as I needed, That is very convenient. I like this flux better than the old rosin I was using, so I discarded it to use this going forward. I am giving it a 5 star value because it is very economical, come in an easy to dispense syringe, and it wets very fast when heat is applied.

Does better cleaning off boards than some other flux brands I've tried out this year and happy with the amount you get for the price, will be a repeat purchase

Poo fluxing action, acrid smell, light yellow or brown tinge to the smoke, super easy to clean off except for the film it leaves. Did I mention it smells like a rogue chemistry set with extra halides for your pleasure, maybe. I suck at chemistry but was possible in math so I because an engineer and a technician which later became a technical engineer. I don’t know much so take it for what it’s worth but I have soldered a lot. This flux is not good in my experience. It wasn’t good for through hole or SMD and had little affect on SMD parts when the heat hit the flux be it from an iron or nozzle. I made my own mildly activated fluxes from natural pine resin, 99.9% IPA, a bit of denatured alcohol and a few grams of emulsifiers which works better than most fluxes I have tried and that is a lot. It sucks to clean from the PCB but I bought a heated ultrasonic cleaner for that and it makes the job and results way better than this product. Hard pass.
