I didnt buy these for competition, you might want the R or X series of speakers for that. However Alpine offers great sound clarity and thats what I wanted. They did not dissapoint. Incredible difference from stock, and still better sounding speakers than almost all more expensive comparable speakers. UrbanInspirations came through for me. Will buy again from them.

Bought these little dandies to replace the factory installed 6.5 component speakers in my 98 k1500 work truck (AKA: Xena Z-71 "The Warrior Chevrolet"). Installation was a snap. Being I'm an electrician I had at hand the butt splices necessary to reuse the factory connection so as to place the tweets in the spot designated for them, with the wires already ran for them. And, for ease of replacement if ever needed (I recommend popping into your local Home Depot and getting a few and a pair of stake-on pliers if you don't have em. I have recently installed some 6.5 Infinity speakers in my wife's Jeep, and as those rocked hard, I almost bought the equivalent Infinity component speakers for Xena. But, as I was about the click "add to cart" I saw these beauties in the bar that shows other products similar to the one you're viewing. So, seeings how the Alpines were roughly $25 cheaper and the review stars were about the same, I clicked on to read some of the reviews.After reading the reviews and comparing both ( and a pair of Kenwoods too) I went with my gut. As I don't like to skimp when it comes to my baby-girl Xena. And, being she has given me 300k+ miles of steady, loyal service with only a couple of minor "disagreements" between us, I was set to give her the Infinity set-up. The thing that clinched my decision was the shock and amazement the reviewers showed with their pair of Alpines for the price. I am truly amazed myself.I spend an inordinate amount of time in my girl Xena running from job site to job site. But, now, paired with the Pioneer AVH-X2500BT I bought last month, and a powered sub-woofer I built to fit under the back seat, my daily traverses shall be a bit more tolerable. I just hope everyone on I-20 and 285 like Jimi Hendrix or Howlin' Wolf as much as I do. If not now, they soon will.
