Alpinestars Web Goretex Touring Boot Zwart 44 EU

I bought these to replace my ~14 year old Alpinestar Web Gore-Tex boots because my feet got larger. My old pair had stood up very, very well, so I'm hoping these will do likewise. This new pair is designed quite a bit differently. I've been wearing them for about 4 months at this time.Sizing: These were a bit too big, so I simply replaced the insole pads with something a little thicker and cushier. Now they fit well. I normally take a size 9.5 to 10 (US), and these are probably more like a 10.5 to perhaps 11.Build quaility: Top notch! Not a flaw anywhere. These are made from *real* leather, unlike a lot of the cheaper boots out there. The zippers work smoothly and stay put (fully zipped up). The zipper pull has a little velcro on it that sticks to the flap's velcro to help lock them in.Waterproof: My old pair were extremely good, which is another reason I bought these. I've ridden in the rain for a significant amount of time only once in these; about an hour. They kept my feet perfectly dry.General comments: I've ridden ~2,000 miles, and walked thru some rocky riverbeds, and they're holding up well. A few light scuffs on the backs of the heels from rocks is all. The rubber soles are soft and grip very well on most surfaces. My old pair was similar and wore quite well; after 14 years they still had tread in most places, with the high-wear spots worn smooth (heel and ball of the foot). I think these will be likewise. Excellent boots, Gortex liniung is really comfortable, I should have bought yaers ago! Wil look at other Alpinestars products.

Bought these for long distance riding. Work well comfortable. Goretex tried in rain good. The biggest drawback for these boots is lack of tread and grip on wet surfaces and gravel. Very slippery with and without being on motorcycle. Knowing what I know I would not buy these.
