The good- I like the not-a-usb-stick form factor- 2 antenna inputs (see also "The Bad")- once tuned in and using sdrpp (macOS version) all from 27 mhz until at least 500 mhz seems good. had good FM reception and even DAB decoding and AIS with sdrangel.- stable, runs hours on end without stopping or heat issues. The Bad- Supplied USB Cable seems solid and shielded, but is very touchy and makes SDR stop (static?). Replaced it with other one, no more problems- "Bias T" does not seem to be implemented. I see the option in sdrpp but haven't seen any voltage on antenna connector yet.- Don't expect anything below 25 Mhz. Maybe with an active antenna, but would buy upconvertor instead of using hf in direct sampling mode- Ppm is quite variable

Mein Tipp: Erkundigt Euch welche Geräte was taugen und welche man kaufen sollte.

To whom it may concern,This has to be my most disappointing purchase from Amazon. I bought this unit for the express purpose of doing some basic radio-astronomy in the L-Band, which this device will cover. I was greatly impressed by the fact that one could use one's computer to realise the results in audio and video. However, NOWHERE IN YOUR ADVERTISEMENT did you say that the Device would require specialist External Drivers!! The very moment that I realised this, I just knew that I was not going to get the Unit to work. The very second that I see that dreaded Windows Installation window that invites you to install, I know for a definite fact that I am going to see the message "Windows could not Install the Device as it needs to know the Program that Supports It." Of course they give a list of Programs, none of which are of any use! I am well used to that! However, I did not give up. I searched the Internet(Google) for suitable drivers and found many helpful articles, but what a complex procedure for someone who is not digitally competent. I am a retired Analogue TV Technician and have never taken willingly to Digital. A comma out of place and the Item will not work. I successfully downloaded SDR (or RTL) Sharp and installed Zitag(?) and my equipment was recognised and the Driver installed successfully. At least that is what it said. However, I was never able to gain access to the Unit's operation. In desperation, I cleared my Computer of all previous Programmes and carefully reinstalled. This time, I was told that the Unit was not recognised as its Version No had been corrupted!!! ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC! I fully realise that I, in my ignorance of Driver Installation, have caused some corruption to the Unit's Version Software, but really this should not have happened in the first place. I naturally assumed that this was a Plug-And-Play Product which clearly it was not. I think that your Advert mentions that even the 'elderly User' will find the Device easy to use. That, in itself, is rather misleading. I am in my seventieth year but well on the ball as regards connecting together and operating/servicing analogue electronic equipment and am able to use my Computer for the normal everyday tasks. Incidentally, the Computer uses Windows-10, so should be alright.A common complaint that I am hearing from other quarters, who bought this Device, is that there is not the vestige of an Instruction Book. That, in itself, is wrong. Any electronic gear that you sell should have proper Instructions supplied, and I do not mean the hopelessly-translated Chinese scraps of paper. There should be a proper multi-page Instruction Book, telling one, in crystal clear terms, as to how to install the Unit to one's Computer.I have kept the high-quality USB-Cable, but the rest is for the bin, I fear. I shall then build my own analogue L-Band Receiver using recovered Tuner Units. etc from discarded Analogue TV's! It will take a lot of time, but I can guarantee that I will get some RF Noise out of it, if nothing else!Yours, a much disappointed Amazon Customer!
