De binoculaire samengestelde microscoop B120C is op maat gemaakt voor het onderwijzen van demonstraties, klinische onderzoeken en laboratoriumtoepassingen. Het is een ideaal hulpmiddel voor docenten en studenten, vooral op het gebied van medische en biologie. De Siedentopf verrekijker maakt eenvoudige interpupillaire afstandsaanpassing mogelijk zonder de focus te verstoren. De 3D dubbellaagse mechanische trap zorgt voor een nauwkeurige beweging langs de X-, Y- en Z-assen, met ergonomische vertaalknoppen voor X en Y, en coaxiale grove en fijne scherpstelknoppen voor Z. LED-verlichting zorgt voor licht met weinig warmte en daglicht, ideaal voor levende exemplaren. Het beschikt over een verwisselbare condensator voor donkerveld- en fasecontrasttechnieken. Met twee sets oculairs biedt het zes vergrotingsinstellingen: 40X, 100X, 250X, 400X, 1000X en 2500X, waardoor het geschikt is voor studenten, klinieken en onderzoek in bacteriologie, biologie en farmaceutische producten.

Packaged to survive a fall. Has most of the features You'd want not just for hobby. I'd say the quality of the mechanical stage control, the coaxial focussing and the optics is good enough for lab work. It's heavy, very stable and adjusted from the factory. Optics are clear and sharp enough. The condenser mechanism is a bit loose, but does work well and the light source is bright enough up to 400x. The binocular head turns with some metal on metal grinding roughness, but I never have to turn it past the initial setup. All in all, unexpectedly good for the price. At 40 to 100x it's brilliant, 400x is useable. Tried 1000x only a few times and it doesn't really offer much more detail than 400x, so I don't bother with oil immersion. The 10x Eyepieces are wide field and sharp, the 25x are not. Down the line I'll probably replace them with eye relief versions.

Its a great microscope, I say best in in class because there are cheaper ones, normally intended for children or beginners but there are also much more expensive ones that cost thousands.This suited me perfectly because it was on offer at time of purchase, its simple enough for a beginner to use but advanced enough to be used by expert users, perfect for me to progress my hobby.
