Part number and picture does not match item received. Returning it.

After looking through all of the options, this one stands out for having a better design at a cheaper price point.-More expensive units have plastic mounting holes that can be stripped over time and this product has metal threads that should make this last longer.-While more expensive units have more lights, they are generally smaller than the LEDs inside this product which makes the lighting pretty much equal between them.-More expensive models have the cord and switch in a weird position while this product has it where you can easily adjust the brightness and turn it on and off without having to look away from the microscope.

This microscope light offers good value for money but with a caveat. I like the variable brightness control, which covers a wide range and it should be possible to fit it to most binocular microscopes. Sadly, what lets it down is the UK mains plug. It has no BS kite mark. The body of the plug is too narrow and there is no fuse. There is also no Internal fuse (see photos). As supplied it is a fire hazard. If you buy this product, please have somebody competent cut the molded plug off and fit a proper one with a 1A fuse.
