It's a lid, it works and it's well built. A few things on it in case they aren't clear from the pictures: there is no valve, the lid is all glass. There is also no metal border, this is great for Teflon/non-sticky pans and pots. There are three small apertures on the border (barely visible from the photo) to allow the pressure to be released without the lid jumping or shaking. You can't get anything better for the money

Estas tapas son muy útiles en la cocina ya que evitan salpicaduras , cuecen y fríen mas aprisa con algo humedad y al ser de cristal se ve como se va haciendo, tienen unas pequeñas salidas para que salga parte del vapor, yo las prefiero a las metálicas, un muy buen producto en la cocina que es su sitio, y buen precio.

Der Topf passt gut auf meine Töpfe. Ist gut zu reinigen. Habe ihn auch schon zum Brot backen in den Backofen getan. Das Brot war wunderbar gebacken.
