Bought 3 x 2kg to use as a topper for my houseplants to keep gnats and mold down. I found it to be clean straight out of the bag but gave it a good rinse before using anyway.Pros: nice size and mixture of colours, good quality and good value for money – definitely cheaper than buying dedicated plant topping.Cons: can't think of any.

This aqua sand and gravel is fantastic! I use it as a component in my mixing medium for my succulents and cacti, and it works beautifully. I purchased this gravel to cover over some houseplants and it’s perfect for my needs, although I’m unsure if the bag would be big enough alone if you were intending to use in an aquarium.I’ve added a photo of gravel in my hand for an idea of stone size, and there is a nice array of colours all within the ‘natural’ colour spectrum. Great price in comparison to other options; I’m really pleased and would certainly buy again if I needed more.
