I have issues judging whether a picture is completely in focus when looking at the monitor on the camera or through the viewfinder so after researching i decided to take the plunge and buy a field monitor that would help me judge whether a scene was in focus. Watched and read lots of reviews and decided on this monitor due to price, build quality and features. It’s about right weight wise but added to the weight of the camera it can get a bit heavy so advise using a tripod or frame, picture quality is superb, functionality as mentioned fit my remit. You need external batteries as there are none built in or supplied. Helped me out massively in terms of getting the focus right so definitely a 5/5 from me!

As described, but I hadn't realised this doesn't come with batteries, so if you're buying make sure you're aware! Beyond that the monitor does what it says on the tin and works perfectly fine.I've used in situ on a few shoots now and I'm really happy with it's performance. Super bright and easy to use even on a very bright day. Being able to load custom LUTS is a nifty feature, albeit that instructions are not great (need a FAT-32 formatted drive). ;-)

Solo un problema per meL'unico problema è che il manuale non menziona in nessun posto il filesystem utilizzato dalla scheda SD per le LUT. Ho dovuto fare una ricerca su Google e ho trovato un vecchio video su un monitor più vecchio. Una volta formattata la scheda tutto è andato bene. In realtà ho dovuto chiedere al monitor di leggere la LUT due volte prima che funzionasse.A parte questo, combinato con una piccola batteria, è una configurazione ragionevolmente compatta

When it is paired to my Canon EOS R the screen display is fantastic, I shoot in 4k and the built in flip out display is too small to show any details but the C6 shows everything! I hate it when doing video contents and you think you had everything right and the flip out screen looks really good but when it comes to editing on computer screen you find that parts are out of focus and all the make up is not right.....With the C6 you get a sense of what you actually see on computer screen so you can correct and reshoot the scene straight away. Since it is a IPS screen the viewing angle is very good, you don't need to move the screen to face you dead on as you can view the screen from up to 20 degree in any direction.The built in function is great for video production, I use the focus assist most of the time and the red line will show where the camera is focused on and optional zebra lines is useful too. The touch screen is a bit hit and miss, I find that pressing the screen hard to achieve click and when pressing hard the whole unit shakes etc. The L bracket allows you to still attach a device to the hot shoe on the side of the bracket, however the locking mechanism is too close to the side hot shoe rendering that slot useless.The unit itself can be powered by the included mains adapter and there is a 8.5V DC outlet for your camera which is really handy. The HDMI port is a bit difficult to reach as it is on the opposite side of the camera, and instead of using full size HDMI straight port it would be nice to see a bend instead so the cable is not sticking out too much from the monitor.The screen is very bright and I leave the setting at 80% in my studio, it is powerful enough to make it clear with my studio lights in full blast, pretty impressive. For solo content creator like myself the C6 is a good piece of kit for making video, shoot it once and shoot it right first time.

Really good product. It works very well indeed out in the field.I have used it on my semi professional video camera without any problems at all.I have also used in conjunction with my nikon coolpix P1000 again it worked very well. Only one point it does disable the cameras remote control but this is a Nikon problem and rectified by using a wired shutter release.So good I'm thinking of getting another one.
