Provides enough light and coverage for reading the in dark. On a recent camping trip we used it in the tent for reading to the kids before bed. It's a bit too thick to use as a bookmark; it falls out too easily because it doesn't wedge itself in the pages and the thickness warps the pages. Also the clip is too small to attach to pages and stay in place.Bonus: my daughter uses it as a flashlight when she wakes up in the middle of the night and needs to go to the washroom.
