It was nothing like the picture. It was like a huge saucer with rubber round the handle. Was not really the old vintage style.

This rustic style candle-holder by Thorness is not bad value at eleven quid currently from Amazon – but would be slightly more appealing at a tenner. It looks handmade so I guess each one is slightly different - Thorness is a UK company but I'm not sure where these products are actually made. It is described as a “wee willie winkle” traditional antique style of candle holder in parts of the product description – but the Scottish nursery rhyme is actually Wee Willie Winkie, and the name is said to be a Jacobite reference to English King William 3rd. This is not a design that will appeal to everyone, but if you like the rather gothic antique black look it has then it probably won't disappoint. It has an extended three year warranty – but looks like it will last forever – four stars if it appeals to you.

The item arrived on time, as described and packaged well. I had high hopes for the time from looking at the photos and we have a monochrome lounge, unfortunately, the item does not sit well and I would not trust it enough to have a lit candle in. No matter where I have placed the item on every surface available, it leans and wobbles too much.
