De PoE-splitter verdeelt een PoE-signaal in een 5 V gelijkstroom en 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet-gegevensbron.
Met dit apparaat kunt u Ethernet-kabels van een PoE-switch over lange afstanden leggen en vervolgens het PoE-signaal in een apart datasignaal en 5 VDC stroombronnen verdelen om niet-PoE-apparaten te gebruiken.

I was installing an alexa dot in the wall and didn't want wiring to show ..so I ran my cat5 to a poe switch and with this adapter powered it right up!

This was put into use for a Ring Camera, which only draws 2-3W max. It worked for about a week, and then it stopped one night. The next morning, I noticed that the ethernet connection was completely burnt and the device itself partially melted, even the cable that was plugged into it was damaged due to the burning. This has failed catastrophically and I was lucky that it didn't start a larger fire.

tried it on a unifi POE switch power died shortly after plugging it in.returned it.I had tried the same brand with a 2 PACK micro usb power connector and had the same results.So after 3 different devices I would stay away.Using 2 UCTRONICS brand devices now and so far no problems.

The adaptor on this device fits the 5v female Samsung SmartThings hub perfectly. If you are looking to convert the SmartThings Hub to a POE solution, this will work great. This will separate off the 5v for the hub, AND give it a standard network connectionYou will still need to have a POE injector or a POE capable switch at the other end of the cable
