Why is this the best? As build quality is superior to Patterson.The reels (you get two - along with a rod to turn rather than invert - if you so wish) the reels are the easiest, most easiest to hold, most ergonomic and easiest quickest and absolutely stress free to load a roll of film onto - Brilliant quick, easy to feel in the dark, tuck the edge in and start twisting and the film will be wound on perfectly - unlike the rubbish Pattesron ones which are fiddly and horrible to load. Unwinding is even easier! Either twist and pull apart or just gently ease the film out.If you want an excellent watertight, light proof tank, with two reels, which are the easiest to load EVER - get this and forget anything else.

Die AP Compact Entwicklungsdose ist eine solide Dose, die all meinen Ansprüchen entspricht. Die Filme lassen sich durch die Kugeln sehr leicht und schnell in die Spulen einspannen. Die Dose selbst hält dicht solange man sich an die vorgegebenen Füllmengen hält und lässt sich problemlos befüllen. Zur langlebigkeit dieser Dose kann ich noch nichts sagen, aber für diesen Preis einfach unschlagbar!

I wanted to try developing my own film (120, Illford delta 400 pro) and this worked perfectly. It is worth noting though that for medium format film you can only fit one roll in there at a given time. Volume for developing on a roller was about 550 mL to cover the roll of film completely when standing.Would buy it again.
