Price and quality

I bought 3 of these to cover outside angles of my house.The sensors are perfect but perhaps not for the use case I intended. Especially the frontside of the house keeps giving me false detections even with a 5 second delay. I think it is pickup up cars driving beyond the stated 7 meters. The detection itself on a human is more like 3 a 4 meters and a large dog maybe only a meter.All 3 are mounted in a reasonable dry place.I tried mounting them behind a window but that didn't function at all.The sensors contain a device temperature, a lux detector, a movement detect and an occupancy detector.I have them paired to Home Assistant OS and a Conbee2 stick without an Aqara hub. Pairing works flawlessly.So in the end: Perfect for an inhouse solution, outside not so much. I would still buy them any day.

... oh I know what we will do. We will take a standard protocol like ZIgbee, and then make stuff that will only work with our own Zigbee stuff.Because that's a clever idea.*eyerroll*

Migrated to this product from the cheaper sonoff motion sensors. The sonoff product kept disconnecting from my hub and getting stuck in "Motion Detected".Ever since I moved to Aqara never had problems since.

Dopo una settimana di utilizzo non posso che dire che è un prodotto ottimo. Molto configurabile, preciso e comprato con lo sconto del Black Friday anche il prezzo più che accettabile. Confronto a sensori di altre marche più economiche non ci sono paragoni. Molto soddisfatto e contento dell'acquisto.

Ich muss zugeben, ich hatte in den Verkaufsanzeigen zuerst den Eindruck es handle sich bei diesen Bewegungsmeldern um billig produzierte Ware, die entsprechend ihres Preises nur Enttäuschung verspricht. Nachdem ich, um den Kauf einer Bridge zu vermeiden, mit anderen teureren Produkten dagegen große Schwierigkeiten hatte, habe ich mich dann doch dazu durchgerungen die Aqara Motion Sensoren auszuprobieren und ich finde sie wirklich großartig. Man merkt in vielen Momenten dass hier schlichtweg genial und mit Köpfchen designt wurde.+ einfaches Pairing mit handlicher E1 Bridge+ schnelle Reaktionszeit (mit Zigbee deutlich schneller als zb Bluetooth)+ Zuverlässige Auslösung, der Detektor löst IMMER aus. IMMER+ sehr breiter Detektionsradius, perfekt geeignet zum Abdecken eines kompletten Raumes/Ganges+ praktisches Befestigungsmodell, frei schwenkbar. Wer einmal versucht hat einen Sensor mit Kleber an der Rückseite sinnvoll zu platzieren wird hier vor Freude durchdrehen.+unschlagbarer Preis,mit E1 Hub/Bridge ist man schon ab 2 Sensoren genauso günstig dran wie bei der Konkurrenz+ eingebauter Lichtsensor+ hübsch! für mich der stylischste Sensor auf dem Markt, schlank und elegant+ ausreichend große Reichweite- manchmal etwas übersensibel. Aber ich bin ehrlich, lieber so als andersrum- bei 1 von 3 Sensoren ist bei mir glaube ich der Lichtsensor defekt, aber den brauche ich eigentlich nicht- Die Aqara-App an sich, finde ich sehr unzufriedenstellend, aber ich benutze meine Produkte sowieso lieber unter Apple-Home.- festeingestelltes Detektions-invervall,d.h. nach Auslösung bleibt er ca 50s im Modus "Bewegung erkannt", für mich hat sich dieser Zeitraum allerdings als durchaus sinnvoll herausgestellt.Das Gerät hat mich für quasi nur Vorteile und die wenigen Nachteile stören mich überhaupt nicht. Zu dem Preis ist der Sensor für mich ein absoluter No-Brainer und ich werde mir noch mehr Sensoren holen, kostet ja nix :) uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

I grabbed this to see how well it worked. I put it up in my bathroom and tied it into Homekit to control the Hue lights that I have in there. The sensor turns the lights on and off with motion, so as soon as I walk in, all the lights turn on automatically, then turns them off once motion is no longer detected. So far it's been 100% reliable, and I have even set up different behaviors based on the time of day, so at night it only turns the lights on to a minimum brightness so I am not night blind when I go back to bed. Installation is effortless, just stick it to the wall where you want motion detected. The sensor can actually work as a light sensor as well, so it could potentially be used to turn on lights based on ambient light conditions, but Homekit doesn't support that function at this point so I am not using it.These sensors do need an Aqara hub to work, but considering you can get them for under $30 it makes this sensor cheaper than most of the competition even with buying one. Considering all of the other sensors and products in the Aqara lineup and the Homekit compatibility of them, these things really are a steal.
