First a word of praise: it is the best I could find.But.Old version was way half of pressure drop.Engineers have to bring water around corners with less pressure drop. Thst‘s why you wsnt tonsitdy turbulent fluidic systems. :)Apart from that it does what it should.Protect your old one from mild frost even and demount in winter.I unloosened bottom screw and that was not enough. Removing cap could have done the trick. So the U-bend part away from electric contacts for me was deepest point (upright mounting orientation) with quartz tube seemingly stuck in ice a few cm, and broke. Then in a few weeks it still worked under-water-pressure, but slowly water creeped through the cable between inner 4 wires and outer insulation, to the old style current limiter and flooded it. A pity.Waiting for a LED version.With a design where wster flows through straight with full 2“ cross sectional area so 0 pressure drop.Every sharp bend has ca. 0.05-0.07 bar pressure drop and if you sum these two of new version with all other design flaws you loose half the pump power to them.
