Aquila Red Series AQ-84 Sopraan Low G Ukelele Snaren 4-delige Set

The sound is very good, even on an inexpensive soprano. It really makes a difference having all the strings the same gauge. The low G is still a wound string, but it's wound with very fine wire and easy on the fingers. After using these on my "travel" soprano, I also bought a high-G set for my concert size, and may add them to my tenors when they need new strings.I was a little nervous about installing them given some of the comments, but pulling them up manually after tightening with the tuners (as it shows in the Aquila video) stretched them without breaking them. The other concern was the color, but they're more of a mellow reddish brown than bright red, so they don't look gaudy or out of place on my ukes.

I learned to play the guitar years ago but had not practiced for many years. When I took it up again I realised how out of practice I was. I thought that a uke might be fun and I had a relatively cheap ukulele for my birthday After lowering the action I still thought the tone of the original strings could be improved so I bought this set of Aquila strings. They are certainly an improvement and easier to play. They take a little time to settle in but with patience and a tuner they eventually stay in tune. I am still a beginner but I can play a few simple chords and tunes which I find very satisfying.
