Using this set up over 80gal tanks for a musk turtle.I've got a 4x2ft tank, and with the splash guards at the side, this light pretty much has 100% coverage of the surface and really illuminates the water. I want to say the light is 6500k daylight white but I could be wrong.Either way, it's good enough that I bought a second one. I did have to contact the seller as one of the bulbs blew, but they immediately sent another one out overnight and I had a working light the following day. Really impressed with both the seller and the item.

This is light weight and not as tough as some some of the other lights I've purchased but I feel the bulb works better for my birds. My Amazon parrot was able to pop apart the fixture from inside the cage (light was sitting on top). Luckily I was sitting next to him and caught it right away. I've since raised it a couple inches above the cage top which means he isn't getting quite as much UVB (distance affects the amount). I would not recommend hanging this inside as it wouldn't take much to break it.
