I made the recent switch to release papers and boy, it makes a difference. I used to cut the plastic but these release papers allow me to step away if tired during a section. I also like how many you get since it covers a large chunk.They are on the thin side though; so, if you cover half a diamond area and apply little pressure, the paper will have an indent. But you are given enough they should last.

This is quite an impressive diamond painting tool kit. Not only do you get the release papers but you get a craft knife, a straightener tool and a couple of rolls of washi tape.The washi tape is a pale blue with no design on it. They are a little bit "boring" but seem to be a decent length and will certainly be useful. The tack is as expected from a Washi Tape and do lift easily back up off paper.The craft knife was the piece that made me decide to take the plunge on this set. I am not disappointed. It is a good weight and has a metal handle with well fashioned grips so it is comfortable to hold and doesn't slip. The included blade is nicely pointed and has a good sharpness. It does seem to be fairly standard in size so replacement blades should be easy to get.The straightener tool has a glitter finish which looks really good. The glitter is all embedded in the plastic so will not flake off when used.The release papers themselves are a really good thickness and the coating is slippery smooth on both sides. They are really easy to lift up off your canvas should you need to adjust them or when you are uncovering your next section of your diamond painting. Each paper is notecard sized which I find to be the perfect size for my diamond painting sessions but they are simple to cut down if this is too large an area for you. the feel very durable and should last you a very, very long time as each sheet is reusable.Overall, this is a great diamond painting accessory kit.
