At most a second coat is needed. I've used other paints that are too thin and require three or four coats to get the color I want. This is a thicker paint and goes on well and dries quickly.

It doesn't perform as well as I had hoped—some drug store brands, e.g., Cerave or Olay.Positives: It has a nice texture and smooths on the skin easily. I have sensitive skin, and this product didn't upset it.Maybe works better on younger skin. I'm in my 60’s and my skin requires very effective serums.
