This was bought for a mini PC which required an external Wi-Fi antenna (as shown in the photo) - so far it seems to be working perfectly and is a good match for the mini PC in terms of size and appearance.

Signal tested two of these antennas alongside a range of others, and these performed poorer than cheap AKASA 2dBi dual-band (2.4/5.8GHz) antennas. It's not about polarity or alignment, either... they simply are NOT 8dBi antennas.Best performer in the lineup was which actually do perform at 6dBi.To give meaningful numbers: used on a DJI RC with RP-SMA sockets fitted, flying an exact and identical flight path back-to-back:AKASA 2dBi topped out range 2.6km downrange, altitude 60mThe linked (brand-unknown) 6dBi antennas maxed out at almost 8km (the extreme edge of VLOS across the valley) before I turned the drone around because of battery limitations. Could certainly have exceeded this range had it been necessary or possible.These antennas (the ones I'm reviewing right now) lost signal at 480m downrange, altitude 60m.Don't waste your money, find something else... these are a lie.
