Gekocht om ventilatiegaten te boren in een oude PC kast. Het geeft logischerwijze wel een hoop metaalschilfers, dus een schort, veiligheidsbril en oor bescherming is zeker geen overbodige luxe.Het bit was te dik voor mijn accuboor, maar in de gewone boormachine was dit geen probleem. Houdt er rekening mee dat dit een zware boorkop is waar je een kwalitatief goede machine voor moet gebruiken; lichtere boormachines kunnen schade aan de aandrijving krijgen door de vrijgekomen krachten.

Very happy with the results. I got these to cut 4 - 2 1/8" holes into 3/16" steel for a wrought iron door I'm making. Cut right through, about 2 - 3 minutes per hole with my old 1959 Craftsman drill press. Use lots of cutting oil and steady even pressure. Watch out for "chatter". Made quick work of the job, and the completed holes had no burrs or jagged edges. A quick swipe with emery cloth and they were done. The storage bottles are a nice touch. They are labeled in metric, only - I used a Sharpie to add the SAE measurements to the label. Be prepared for noise - wear hearing and eye protection. The chips don't really fly too far, but the noise is HUGE. I don't know if it was the speed my press was running, but it was a harmonic noise that was just intense. I had my press on the slowest spindle speed, so slightly faster may create different results due to the harmonics. Will be using the additional sizes on future projects.

I needed to cut some AR400 plate steel. these cutters, while not the best quality, did the job. I was able to cut 4 holes at 2" diameter in 3/4" thick steel. Chip evacuation is rather poor, so i had to retract the cutter often to clear chips. And i used plenty of cutting oil to give the cutter a fighting chance. After these four holes, the teeth on the cutter are very worn, and i don't think it will cut one more hole.

sharp and cuts good, cut 10 holes in steel don't know how long it will last though, pricey name brand not as good as this thing.

I needed to drill through some thick steel. I didn't need that drill bit to drift also. This drill bit was perfect for what I needed. Extra tip, you should really use a smaller drill bit to place a dimple in the metal. Just a small dimple to make sure. After that it just grinded up the metal and made a precise hole. It's really a metal hole saw drill bit. Badass!
