This is an exceptionally great DAC. When I first ordered it, I was skeptical about what to expect from such a small DAC. As someone with a lot of audio gear, including DACs, DAPs, and headphones, I can confidently say that this is a really, really great DAC. Starting with the build quality, it is entirely made of metal. Considering its very low weight of less than 20 grams, I believe it is made of aluminum. The device is truly plug-and-play, I tested it with my iPhone 16 and Android tablets, and in both cases, it worked flawlessly.In terms of sound, oh man, this is unbelievably good! As you’d expect from a DAC equipped with an ESS chip, it delivers exceptional detail and reveals even the most delicate sounds, with sufficient bass. The moment you switch from your iPhone 16 to this DAC, you can instantly hear the difference, the soundstage becomes much larger, and vocals feel more immersive and exciting. As someone with extensive experience with DAPs and DACs, I highly recommend this DAC without hesitation. I feel very happy and lucky to own one now. In fact, I can confidently say that this DAC sounds better than many DAPs in the sub-700 euro category. The Audirect ATOM4 delivers far more value than its price suggests and therefore it is a 5-star product.
