I've tried passive drip feeders before and generally found them to be unreliable - controlling the rate is difficult and the pressure means the range is limited. So I was eager to try this device and first impressions are good! It's really easy to set up, you simply program how often to work and for how long. So rather than a continuous drip feed, this device delivers pressurised water for an exact duration (12 seconds to 15 minutes) at a fixed frequency (twice per day to once every 15 days). There's plenty of plastic tubing and a number of outlet taps, each of which can be adjusted to deliver the amount of water you want. I've only tested this device so far but the water pressure it delivers is good and I've no doubt it will be able to feed a number of plants with ease. The only thing it doesn't say is how long this can be expected to last on a single charge?! But the battery capacity seems good so I'm expecting that to be at least a week and hopefully much more. However, it does seem to be able to charge at the same time as working so I guess I can just plug one of those USB-C battery charging packs in.

If you have lots of houseplants and worry about them getting watered whilst you are away on holiday, this automatic watering system allows you to set a watering regime to make sure your plants will survive long absences without human intervention.Included in the box is the watering pump which has an LED digital display for setting the watering parameters in terms of "how often" and "how long", with the water inlet and output nozzles on one side and a USB-C input on the other side for charging with the included cable. On top of the unit are the button controls for adjusting the watering parameters and there is a metal clip on the back of the unit for clipping to the side of a plant pot should you wish. Also included in the box is a long black plastic tube for attaching to the pump and for making individual watering outlets with the included T joints and nozzles. There are enough T joints and nozzles to set up for 10 plants to be watered at the same time through one water output on the side of the pump. You can programme the pump unit to switch on up to twice a day and also for the length of time it runs for in minutes so you can adjust for the amount of water your plants need. The screw top on the outlet nozzles allow you to switch the water supply to individual plants on or off by tightening or loosening the knob. It is worth noting that if you need to be away for a long time (months), you will need a larger water reservoir to place the filter end of the tube into and you will need to leave the USB-C cable plugged into the mains electricity supply. The pump unit does have an internal rechargeable battery, but obviously if you are going to be away for a long time, it will need recharging, so best to leave it plugged in.This is a nice looking product with it's minimalist styling and a matt blue finish with green buttons. It presents well and doesn't take up too much room. Takes a bit of time to cut the tube to accommodate your individual plants, but once you have assembled the system it is all pretty straightforward. This blue model seems like reasonable value for the service it provides at £24.95, but for some reason some of the different coloured ones are more expensive. It's a great product though and solves the problem it is designed for extremely well. No more returning from your holidays to find your houseplants wilted and shriveled up.
