My old boy got himself caught up in a scuffle, and landed up coming off much the worse for wear. Several staples later, and two days TLC at the vets, saw him coming home in a very well known brand of recovery suit, that looked very uncomfortable, with no pee pee or 💩 hole! It was also a nightmare to take off and put on, and by the time I'd butchered it there wasn't much of any good left! He was not a happy chappie at all, and was barely wanting to move, but, as he'd already unpicked some of the vet's skillful work, and couldn't wear a lamp shade because of multiple injuries to his neck and throat, he really needed something more suitable in a hurry!Amazon to the rescue, and after trawling through many recovery suits I settled on this one. In usual Amazon style, it arrived, as promised, the following day, and I was not disappointed.It's made of a soft, stretch fabric and seems to be well made. I wasn't particularly bothered about the colour or pattern, so long as it did the job, but these aren't bad at all and true to the images advertised.I had measured the length of his back carefully, and the size was bang on for him. There's a clearly marked section for cutting out to accommodate his manly bits and a good, clear opening all ready exists for his bottom, which enables him to perform his daily business, without having to remove his jimjams. Nice comfortable leg length with soft, stretch cuffs. Really easy to put on and take off. Protects his wounds perfectly. His demeanour changed immediately and he was obviously a lot more comfortable.As some of his wounds are still weeping, I've now bought another two; one on, one in the wash and drying, and one clean and ready to go on.Obviously, the material is not insulated, but a jumper easily goes over for added warmth. I'm guessing, a younger dog wouldn't need the extra layer, but my old boy is very much in the zone wearing his jimjams with a jumper during the day. I can't fault anything about these, and I'm guessing he might continue wearing them after he's recovered.

Nach der Operation meines Hundes habe ich den Axcimond Hundebody ausprobiert – und bin wirklich zufrieden. Mein Rüde hat den Body problemlos akzeptiert, was bei einer Halskrause definitiv nicht der Fall gewesen wäre. Der Stoff ist angenehm weich, aber dennoch robust genug, um die empfindliche Wunde gut zu schützen.Die Passform überzeugt: Der Body liegt gut an, ohne einzuengen, und lässt sich durch die Druckknöpfe schnell an- und ausziehen. Die langärmlige Variante ist ideal, da sie zusätzliche Stellen am Körper schützt und mein Hund nicht ständig versucht, an der Wunde zu lecken.Auch die Bewegungsfreiheit bleibt erhalten – mein Vierbeiner konnte sich frei bewegen, schlafen und sogar spielen. Der Body ist zudem waschbar, was den Alltag deutlich erleichtert. Für die Genesungszeit nach einer OP ist dieses Kleidungsstück eine echte Erleichterung – für Hund und Mensch.

Der Body ist ziemlich schlabberig. Schwierig, die passende Größe zu wählen. Hatte 2 Größen bestellt. Die eine ist etwas zu stramm, die nächste zu groß. Es leierte auch schnell aus. Den Body dem Hund anzuziehen ist eine Wissenschaft für sich. Bis da die Beine drin sind und man den über den Körper gezogen hat, ist ein sensibler Hund schon weg. Hatte ich mir einfacher vorgestellt. Mag sein, dass der Body eine Hilfe bei OP Wunden sein kann, bei mir half er nicht. Ich wollte das Knie des Hundes bedecken und wenn der Hund liegt, dann gibt der Stoff so nach, dass das Knie freiliegt. Nehme ich aber den Kleineren, dann ist der zu kurz und spannt zu sehr. Da die Idee aber super ist und auch für einen Rüden eine Lösung ist, weil man um den Pipimann ein Stück rausschneiden kann, gebe ich trotzdem 3 Sterne. Preis-Leistung stimmt auch, da kann man nichts sagen.

Wir haben diesen Body wegen einer kleinen OP bei unserem Hund gekauft. Der Body ist elastisch und unsere kleine hat sich darin wohl gefühlt.
