Dit ontwikkelingsbord beschikt over, de krachtige ESP-WROOM-32-module, met geïntegreerde wifi en bluetooth-functionaliteit (BR/EDR/BLE). De ESP32 is een chip die is ontworpen met de TSMC-technologie voor extreem laag stroomverbruik (ultra-low power management). Daardoor kun je ondanks de hoge efficiëntie de beste prestaties en prestaties bereiken. De D1 Mini ESP32 overtuigt vooral door robuustheid, veelzijdigheid en betrouwbaarheid en is daarmee geschikt voor alle denkbare toepassingsmogelijkheden van je volgende project.

Omdat de ruststroom van de ESP32-chip minder dan 5 μA bedraagt, is hij bijzonder geschikt voor gebruik met batterijen of accu's. De ESP32 D1 Mini heeft een vergelijkbare indeling van de pinnen als de conventionele D1 Mini ESP8266-12F en is daarom compatibel met de meeste accessoires voor deze pin. Daarvoor zijn vooral batterijschilden van AZ-Delivery geschikt. De beproefde ESP32-D0WDQ6-chip bevindt zich in de kern van de ontwikkelde module.

Dit mini-board combineert de populaire vormfactor van de D1 Mini met de zeer krachtige ESP32. Zo hoef je zelfs in de kleinste ruimte niet af te zien van functionaliteit.

I first could not get these working. The AZ delivery support is great, they helped me to get them working correctly. Also, it turns out out you cannot power them through the designated 5v pin, 5v has to go via usb. AZd reimbursed me for these so I could buy their other Esp32 which can be powered through 5v pin. Due to great service upped rating to 5. Btw, the ones powered through usb work fine. I have found you have to be little careful playing with wiring on these, they seem sensitive to wrong connection, ensure you disconnect power before you change wiring.

I'm using these devices to drive WLED installations and as Bluetooth Proxies for Homeassistant.The first set I got, I could get all three to work with the WLED installer but not with ESPHome Bluetooth Proxies installer. After some trial and error, I got them to work by shorting GND and GPIO 0 (as a way of getting them into programming mode).I reported this to AZDelivery, and I promptly got sent a new set, which then worked perfectly. No questions asked, and fast delivery, even for a cheap product like this!

Handig dat het nu ook mogelijk is om niet alleen de ESP8266, maar ook de meer krachtige ESP32 via usb aan te sluiten voor voeding en om dit te programmeren. Dat betekent geen gedoe meer met een extra FTDI controlller en losse draadjes.

After many hours of trying to flash WLED on these (which I have done dozens of time), I looked into the comments and had my answer immediately...The 5 chips give brownout triggers in the console log, I will try with a short cable soon cause I don't have any lying around for now, but the three I tried aren't even that long ...Also good to know that you will need the CP210x driver to communicate with it, not the usual CH340 (at least MY usual)
