The AZDelivery ESP8266 ESP-12F is nice and small and can be embeded into almost anything.I've built a lot of different ESP8266 devices. mainly for home automation. The smaller the module, the better, because you don't want to build clunky devices. The AZDelivery ESP8266 ESP-12F is even smaller than a regular USB plug. Usually it is soldered on an experimental board but with many supporting parts. You don't really need that in your projects, the best thing is to keep everything as minimal as possible. This module offers you precisely that advantage.1 last advantage that was the deciding factor for me. The pre-drilled solder holes are much more convenient than with the ESP-32 modules, you really have to apply them to an SMD board, but because of the handy solder holes you can also use the AZDelivery ESP8266 ESP-12F as a wired module.

I only got the lab PCB and not the ESP chip. I returned and ordered a new. Let’s see if I get all items in the new orderEdit: Payment now returned but the next order didn’t contain the ESP chip either. My third order finally contained everything and worked as expected so updating from 1 to 3 stars

It's advertised that this item comes with a free EBOOK! That's a laugh! First you have to give them all your personal details before you can download the so-called "EBOOK"! Then all you get is a soldering instruction and nothing else!I was expecting at least a connection diagram for running and/or uploading to the module and maybe an example sketch but nothing, nothing at all, just soldering instruction!Not very helpful for any beginner!
