It's a nice pan, but its very obvious high mid-spot negates the point of getting one this size.

I've always used non-stick pans, but they have a limited life and I'm still uneasy about the chemicals in them, especially cooking at high temps. So wanted a decent quality stainless steel pan that doesn't cost too much. And I definitely found it! But it's much better than just 'decent'! It's fantastic! A few YouTube videos on how to cook on stainless without it sticking and I'm now a complete convert to Stainless. I'd never heard of Babish, so didn't buy it because of the brand. But now it's my main pan as it's so versatile, especially with the lid. It's lighter than I was expecting (aluminium core helps with that) and on my induction hob it heats up extremely quickly and evenly. For my old non-stick Tefal I'd need to set the temp to about 7.5 out of 10, but this is just as hot at 5.5. If anything does slightly stick then a some water added whilst the pan is still hot means it comes off. Lid is great, handles firmly attached and comfortable to hold, and don't get hot. I've fried fish, gently simmered things and it just does it all so well. Never thought I'd write so much about a pan. For a 3 layer pan, the price is very good. Others I looked at were nearly 4 times the price. Another advantage was being able to put it in the dishwasher, but so far it's been so easy to clean that's not necessary. Overall, very very happy.

First Stainless steel pan I learned how to cook on and this thing is so much better than I was expecting. The lid does not allow the handle to get hot no matter how long ive been cooking which was a great surprise. Pan is also reasonably heavy and feels quality.

This is a very good looking pan. The quality and design are excellent, and I feel it's worth more than the affordable price. The stainless steel lid is much appreciated which I prefer over glass lids. It is durable and has great functionality. This is a go-to pan for just about any cooking task. The font for the logo looks stylish and is in very good taste. This is a very good purchase.

Well-made, inexpensive and lightweight. Just perfect, universal sautee pan.
