Doesn’t come with directions!!! But no need to return! I would recommend these, and probably would buy them again if needed. They’re going on the side gate of the house… The default code is “000” to change it there is a little button on the bottom of the lock… press it in while changing the lock code to whatever 3 digits you’d like. It’s pretty heavy, doesn’t feel like a cheap lock, they’re black, function easy, and the security seems good.

Ein Schloss mit biegsamem Stahlseil war hier von Nöten, denn der Umfang ist zu groß um ein "normales Schloss" dort rumzukriegen. Ein Zahlenschloss musste es sein, weil man nicht immer Schlüssel zur Hand hat, besonders in Notfällen, wo das Aufschließen auch schnell gehen muss.Es tut seinen Dienst.Ein Stern Abzug weil die schwarzen kleinen Punkterhebungen vorne (also da, wo die Zahlen sich dann untereinander zum richtigen Code aufreihen müssen) kaum sichtbar sind. Da muss man gefühlt schon sehr sehr gut hinschauen, damit die 3 Code Zahlen auch richtig in einer Linie sind. In einer dunkleren Umgebung hat man da KEINE CHANCE.Eine bessere Lösung hier wäre entweder diese Punkterhebungen hell (silber oder weiß) als Kontrast zum Schwarz zu machen, oder einfach an der Seite des Schlosses einen hellen Strich zu ziehen, wo man dann seine Code Reihe untereinander einstellen kann.Ein weiterer Punkt Abzug kommt dazu, weil ich finde, dass sowohl die Zahlen auf den 3 Verstellrädchen, als auch die Rädchen selbst sehr klein sind. Da braucht man schon dünnere bewegliche Finger, um das Schloss einfach und schnell zu bedienen.Wie das jetzt ist, ist es suboptimal.

These are "good enough" locks. Their are cheap, and aren't really going to stop anyone determined. That said, luggage is easy to get into. It's just going to prevent some incidental theft along route. Instead of being able to unzip and take something as it goes past, it would require someone to actually hold onto the bag for a minute or two to get into it. Maybe won't be worth the effort.

I successfully set the combination on my first attempt. The lock feels substantial, and the thick, plastic-coated steel cable offers excellent durability and prevents scratching. While I haven't tested its cut resistance, I'm confident it provides ample protection against petty theft in a gym setting. However, I wouldn't recommend it for securing high-value items like expensive bicycles.
