Well, mine is sharp, pretty much hella sharp actually, although I think a few strokes were needed to cut through the weird black coating that is not only on the sides of the saw but on the teeth as well. Someone in marketing probably thought it gave the saw a kind of stealth bomber look... It's billed as a combination rip/crosscut kind of hi-tech tooth technology, but it's basically a crosscut saw with highly aggressive little shark teeth that will cut through anything. Not resharpen-able but at my rate of use I'll be dead before this one needs to be sharpened. I bought it specifically to make cuts in tenons for wedges and I wanted a straight, precise but pretty cheap saw, that cuts a fairly wide kerf and in this case speed in rip cutting is maybe not crucial for me. This baby is a tough little saw and although I think it may not be the tool of choice for extremely precise cuts, I can see it coming in handy a lot. I'll probably end up sawing some deep cuts in thick scrap wood to get rid of some of the black stuff followed by a little judicious sanding. I use Japanese saws for normal work, including precision joinery cuts etc. but I think this saw will be great when I need a rigid, extra-thick 'Luca Brasi' style bench saw.

Very good saw. Has a bit of weight to it and usual Bahco quality. It’s very sharp and straight. I needed a sturdy saw to cut tenons in some 6x6 and this did the job perfectly.

Esta sierra es una pasada, corte muy fina y limpia, muy robusto y el mango es cómodo. Es un Bahco la mejor marca de sierras, fabricado en Suecia / Made in Sweden. Tengo Bahco hojas de sierra metal (hack saw) que también funciona muy bien. Relación calidad a precio es muy buena, estoy muy contento con esta compra.

Eine Gärungssäge ist etwas besonderes, sie muss lange sehr scharf bleiben und die Ergonomie muss stimmen. Das Produkt erfüllt alle Anforderungen perfekt.

Hacé un corte fino y muy limpio, excelente producto,lo recomiendo ampliamente.
