De mSata 512Gb ssd was bot working at all. Tried the ssd in several pc’s but non recognized the ssd.

Bought to update an old E6400 Dell laptop, it seemed a simple task.First it was supposed to be delivered by Prime the next day, late in that day was told it was running late & would be delivered the following day. Annoyed I spoke to Amazon and they did all they could to get it delivered ASAP.Have replaced many HD's with no issues in the past but not this one and all due to my stupidity.Fitted it in 2 laptops and both could not find it on booting up. After hours of messing about thought it was faulty so organised a return.After more hours of research found the problem, the new drive, being thinner, was not mating with the internal connector inside the laptop, it was going underneath. Turned the laptop the right way up, slid the drive into the slot and it slid straight into its connections.Worth the effort it has transformed the old laptop that is only used for a specific TV channel. Loads in 40 seconds (was 3 minutes +) and shuts down in 5 rather than 30+ seconds.A good investment in time saving and my blood pressure in the future. Just hope it has a long life now.
