True to size. Ordered in size L and XL. Ordered based on my hips and waist measurment (height measurement was under)36" waist, 42" hips and 6'1" tall and Large was perfect fit all round. XL was too loose on the legs. Both slightly on the shorter than I'd normally wear and doesn't cover my ankles.Fitted around the legs up to top of thighs and slightly looser in the crotch to protect your modesty. Some may find it too tight to wear in public without coving up but these are not really a base layer but a trouser.Very warm and soft. Super smooth and very stretchy. Good quality zips.

The key to staying warm (from my winters in Canada) is to wear lots of tight thin layers that are sealed-tight top and bottom, (which you can do here with the draw-string and the two leg zips) so that no cold-air can get trapped within the said layers; as that would cause you to feel cold, and ‘stay’ feeling cold. And, just as a side-note, you’d also benefit from wearing a hat, as around 70% of your body’s heat-loss escapes through the top of your head. So, combined with exercise; these leggings are currently warm enough; but it’s ‘not’ that cold just yet.Anyway, despite the fleece-lining, these are still very thin, and even though they do grip your body very-well, that lining does make-it easier to remove them after use; when compared-to a pair of leggings that aren’t lined with fleece.I’ve tried-to show you the average size of the side pockets, which really are ‘on the side’; and don’t tend-to interfere with your exercise movements, and yet they are a good enough size to accommodate a large smartphone, and keys and cards in the one zipped pocket.How long these will last will obviously depend upon a variety of mitigating factors and variables; but they are nicely finished. I did however purchase some premium brand leggings recently for less than the price of these, (and that’s even after Baleafs’ temporary but substantial discount) and I know which ones I’d prefer to re-purchase, because the size factor was an issue for me with these leggings.As I would have typically opted for the ‘small’ size to fit my waist, but I felt forced-to opt for the ‘medium’ on the basis that I required ‘extra’ length in the leg department; so, I was reliant upon the draw-string in the waistband doing its job to enable this to work; which it ‘sort-of’ does. It just feels a bit loose during exercising, and requires a little bit of re-tightening adjustment; when it isn’t always convenient to do.Other than that, it’s fine.

These leggings are ideal for running when it's cooler. The pockets are an unusual shape (tall and narrow) but this isn't necessarily a bad thing as it makes them more secure for things like gels etc.A nice snug fit, without being too restrictive, so very happy with this purchase

Awesome leggings. Work, sport. Very comfortable to wear. Pretty warm to, but not for very cold of walking about. And the zip by the ankle is not orange, is black.

FYI my husband is a about 5'7" and usually takes a UK men's L or XL in shorts or casual trousers and he had difficulty getting these on, and they were VERY snug once they were on - he had to peel them off (I won't subject anyone to a picture).That being said, these are very well made and look great. There are no wonky seams or loose threads and the zippers glide freely and smoothly. The fleece lining feels warm and comfortable - I think these would be excellent on really cold days. I like the reflective flashes on the outside leg and the orange zips on the lower leg/cuff are also a good idea for improved visibility. The pockets are deep enough for most purposes and the zippered pocket holds an iPhone 13/14 easily. I like that the waist is drawstring and being 25% spandex there's plenty of stretch for increased comfort. The rest of the fabric is polyester which makes it breathable and easy care.All this is great, and I know they should be snug in terms of fit, but I think they come up about a size smaller than expected.At £28.99 (as at 8 September 2024) I think these are a good buy if they fit, and I'd definitely go a size up if buying again.
