A wonderful and unique bookend. It looks exactly as in the description. I have placed it on the shelf with slippery surface and, to my surprise, the bottom of the bookend does not slip or move around at all - it has a good grip to the surface. The books that are placed directly on the bottom of the bookend also do not slip (about 5 books). I have more books than fit on the bottom of the surface of the bookend, and so the other end of the row of books needed to be blocked against a wall or the bookshelf, but that's normal and expected.I'm very happy with this item - exactly as expected. It's a great and innovative bookend.
