First, I have to say that I was surprised by the magnifying power. I did some research and found that the magnifying power was perfect for a child. I bought this for my kid's 6-year birthday and they LOVE it. That was about 6 months ago. We still use it regularly. We take it with us on walks and trips, and it's a family activity.It comes with some slides for the slide holder, but we don't use them as much as for things when we are out and about (or almost anything my kid wants to see). But you can get the exact same types of slides but with many more samples here on Amazon. We did, so now we have a collection of slides we use at home or when travelling to keep them entertained.There are two dials that you need to turn to focus, but it's very easy to use. The recommended age for this is 4, but it's possible that younger children might need more help with this at first. Mine did, but once they learnt how to do it, they use it completely independently. My main concern right now is the age-appropriate interest in everything scatological and keeping them from "microscoping" (their word) hazardous materials 😂

Y los aumentos de 60x a 120x son más que suficientes para observar detalles fascinantes en hojas, piedras o pequeños insectos.Además, incluye un par de portaobjetos para que los niños puedan preparar sus propias muestras, lo cual añade un componente educativo muy interesante.En resumen, es una herramienta fantástica para fomentar la curiosidad y el aprendizaje en los más pequeños, sin complicaciones ni necesidad de ser un experto en ciencia.
