Easy installation, does what it must do

UPDATE: Coming back to my review nearly a year later to give it four stars. After going through a couple of wheel changes for the seasons, this rack is still very sturdy and holding strong despite the heavy weight it’s had to endure. And it fits in a nice small space that’s out of the way and still allows for storage underneath with the trust it won’t fall off. It was a bit of a pain to put together, but worth the price. 5 stars if they would have included the proper instructions and I didn’t have to work so hard to get the pole to extend when assembling.I put mine up in my shed and it does the job. I mean when I put it together, I wasn’t sure it was going to do the job, but it’s been a couple months now and the wheels are still there.For context, I drive an SUV (Volvo xc60), so it’s currently holding 4 18inch rims with mounted summer tires. And it fits perfectly.I gave it three stars because they sent the wrong instructions with the kit and one of the metal extension rods wouldn’t extend because the coating was put on too thick on the ends and the extra coating trapped it in its tube. Was a real pain to get out.

I replaced the chains with steel bars.Good product for the rest!

Sehr stabile Halterung für die Wand. Hält sicher Reifen auch größerer Dimensionen und kann platzsparend weggeklappt werden. Jeden nur zu empfehlen.

 

This tyre holder is very well-built, feels heavy and sturdy, and comes with all the screws necessary for the assembly and installation, including 6 nice screws for attaching to the wall, which come with both standard and spring washers. There are some minor cosmetic imperfections (threads in tube ends not quite straight, holes on opposing sides in slightly different locations creating a small gap at the base of one of the triangular sides), but these really do not impact on the function of the product. All steel parts seem well protected against rust (black powder coating, hard to scratch off), it feels as this will last for many years. Instructions are in German only, but there are plenty of pictures so no problem to follow. I really like the folding feature since this will save space in our shed when no tyres need storing. I would definitely recommend this product and the WilTec GmbH seller.

Einfach, aber gute Qualität, nur die Dübel sollten gegen bessere ersetzt werden.
