The colours are great, but the sheets themselves are extremely delicate - they scratch easily and worst of all, they are very likely to crumple and wrinkle in the laminator if you use them at full size. Thankfully, the project I bought this for is many smaller pieces, so I can cut the sheets down. They were also folded in half at some point so every sheet that I've pulled out has a bend/wrinkle in it. They were poorly packed in their original flimsy plastic sleeve inside lightly padded mailer with nothing extra to protect them (very easy to bend, which is why I'm not sure if the bending happened at the manufacturer's or in shipping). The product itself produces really nice colours if you can get around how flimsy the backer is, so that's why I gave it 4 stars despite my issues.

Pretty paper, I do wish I received all the different colors that are in the photo, but I guess that's how it usually works, what I did get was pretty though.

This is a really interesting product, with some very specific uses, as it works well in some cases, but not in others. The foil comes in very thin sheets, in two assorted-color packs of 50 sheets. It's really thin, like gold or silver leaf, so you do need to be careful not to wrinkle the sheets and store them flat. To use these, you print your words or design on a laser printer or photocopier--anything that uses toner and not ink--then lay the foil over anything you want to make metallic. This can be tough when I just want part of a design, or a few words to be metallic; I found that conscientiously designing my sign or picture to keep headlines or certain parts of a design separate makes this easiest. I cut out just enough foil to cover the area I need. Next, you run your printout through a heated laminator, with a piece of paper over it to hold the foil on. The foil sticks anywhere it meets toner. After everything runs through the laminator, you peel away the excess foil, and your design is left with a metallic finish. The shiny foil accents look really good on darker papers, but some of the colors of foil are harder to see in low light, without any light reflecting off them. I also found that, once the foil is applied, adding a layer of lamination over the top dulls the metallic effect (the photo is of a design that has been dulled by lamination). It looks so much better without the clear layer over the top, but I feel like lack of protection leaves the foil effect liable to scratch off. So, I mostly just use this for signs and other artwork that will be hung on the wall or a bulletin board, rather than papers that might get handled a lot.The foil sheets come in several metallic colors, as well as holographic gold and silver. The extra bling these add to my notices and display signs is so satisfying, and makes others really take notice. I get a lot of questions in the office about how the metallic effects came to be, so if you, too, are making signs, be prepared to talk a lot about this. It's a fun, not very practical product that does add some zing to everyday office printing, so I think it's worth a try, especially if you often print signs that you want to be noticed.

Very straightforward operation for letter size paperwork. My setup uses a desktop monochrome laser printer with updated firmware , laminator with self adjusting rollers to different paper stock thicknesses, and Mac Studio with updated Sequoia operating system. I used a 28 LB paper for my test. Pages app used for demonstrating different stock shapes and text all set in black color. Printing was straightforward. When laminating I used a clean sheet of paper to cover the foil. Results were very clean, bold and permanent. I anm impressed. I plan on using foil application for zine cover, story card and greeting card applications.
