This seems like a decent enough thumb protector although I haven't used it yet. One thing that might be of concern is that it is really thick so possibly slightly restricts the bending of the thumb. However this might be a case of getting used to it.Update: It is a quite thick and does restrict the thumb bending slightly. However, perhaps the main issue is that the string grove is so shallow that it doesn't really work. Probably not the best thumb guard but definitely makes shooting more comfortable and helps to protect the thumb. Not bad for the price, particularly for beginners but I would upgrade.
