I write "package" here because for me this ended up being more than just the battery. The versatility of this product with the charger is really a huge selling point that I didn't even know about before I bought it.I bought this as a backup battery about 5 months ago to use for my laptop while on the go, as I do a lot of heavy 3D rendering and video editing, I lose battery like nothing else. Being able to get a few more hours out of use on the go is huge for me. But I found myself also using the charger included with this more often than the actual battery. I use the battery while I am on the go, and now use this charger as my on the go charger (as it also has 2 included fast chargers that allow me to charger my phone or other camera accessories quickly off the same charger as my laptop. Then having the fast charger on the battery itself along with 3 USB ports, I pretty much am always good to go. Being able to charge the battery while also charging my laptop is a big plus too. There are a few things you should know. The battery (as all batteries do) has a bit of weight to it. I don't consider this a con, but you should be aware of it as it is an "on the go" product and you are most likely carrying it in your laptop bag. It also can get kind of hot when fast charging a phone or charging the laptop. I have had this problem with pretty much any fast charger, and they included a great lightweight breathable mesh bag that I keep the battery in which allows me to not worry about it overheating and still pick it up without worrying about the heat. (Not sure exactly how hot it has gotten before, I have never measured it, but I know it has gotten hot enough where you would not want to hold it for more than a little bit.) I think this is just more the nature of large batteries like this... electricity makes heat. But again you should be aware.Other things to note:I never use the flashlight. It's cool I guess, though not very bright. Definitely not why you are buying this though. The button I found confusing a little, to begin with. I am sure they explain it in the paperwork that came with the battery but... its a battery so I never really read it haha. Anyway, it seems there are 2 types of power outputs. One signified by the lights all being green, the other by them all being red. So changing between (I think its 15v and 12v, not sure) is signified through that. Also whether the battery is on or off is hard to tell, I think it just turns on when something is plugged in and turns off when something isnt? So the lights are really just indicated battery level when you click them but I am not sure. The charging level indicator isn't always super accurate for me while it is plugged in. Sometimes it will say it is at 1 (of 4) dots but when I unplug it it corrects itself and says it is fully charged. I have only experienced that a few times. Nothing that has ever slowed me down, but something to note.I have never had any issues with the charger itself (it has only ever gotten slightly warm) and none of the things listed above were really "issues" for me with the battery but I wanted to be transparent.Overall I was considering buying this for a long time and am glad I finally did, it was a little bit of an investment but it gave me the confidence to be able to work on larger projects on the go without worrying about having to stop in the middle or losing something because my battery died.P.S. I did have a brief issue with the surface connect cable they sent me. It worked great for 5 months and then the rubber where it meets the connector started to melt a little bit. Not sure if this was something caused by me not having it plugged in all the way but I stopped using it immediately and contacted their support and they shipped me a new one no questions asked. I assume this was just a fluke cable issue as I hadn't really seen anyone else having this problem. So I wouldn't consider it too much while making your purchase, and they had a quick and very helpful customer service experience directly on their website.

I purchased this product because I often find it difficult to get access to electrical outlet for my Surface Pro (5th Gen) when I work outside my office. In my research for power banks that is capable of charging Surface Pro laptops, I found this product. It has adequate capacity to fully charge Surface Pro from empty at least once, yet not too much capacity to meet airlines security requirement. Based on various reviews including from previous buyers, I decided to place the order. The shipping was very fast, I received the package just the day after I purchase it. The power bank works as described. It is a bit on a heavier side and can get slightly warm, but it sure is worth it. I never need to move closer to electrical outlet, or to worry if there is no electrical outlet around. Also, the customer service is excellent. I have some questions regarding the product and they replied to my emails promptly. Highly recommended.

This product has a very sturdy design and came with a USB type C, micro USB, surface adapter and a handy carry pouch. The battery is able to charge my surface pro 4 from 0 to 100 % and still have some residual charge left. Very effective product and would highly recommend to anyone who struggles with battery life of surface pro and other tablets.

I’m very impressed. The Batpower pack is, of course, heavy, and the full bundle with all leads, power adapter etc. is bulky. So it's not for lightweight travel. Having said that, my Surface Pro 2017 only has 4 hours battery life so this is absolutely vital, and it's certainly not *too* heavy to carry - the total weight of the SP plus the Batpower battery pack isn't any more than a fairly light laptop. And I have the advantage, carrying the Batpower battery with me, of having three additional USB ports to charge my mobile phone, Kindle and other electronics (I also use it for my Garmin watch). There is enough charge in the BatPower battery for one full SP 2017 charge (from zero to about 95%), plus a full charge of my Samsung A5 mobile, which is enough to be totally comfortable going out for a full day at university or at a conference. For travelling, as mentioned, the Batpower battery, plus SP adapter, plus all the bundled leads, does add up to a fair weight/bulk. But it's all I need take away with me. It all fits fine either in cabin or hold luggage. The adapter stays in the hotel room. I charge both my SP and the BatPower battery pack (together) from it overnight, and also my mobile and Kindle and Garmin plugged into the adapter's USB ports. That means I can do without additional USB adapters that I used to have to carry. During the day, I take only the battery pack and a couple of leads (SP/mobile) with me, which is really fine so long as you don't mind a bit of weight in your bag. (I don't; I think of it as strength training :-))WRT build quality, the Batpower pack is fantastically well-made. All the leads (for the SP, for my mobile via USB-C and Kindle via mini-USB) as well as the two bundled mains plugs (one UK, the other EU) are very well made, with very handy velcro to make tidying them away much easier. Incidentally, I am very pleased we get both a UK and EU mains lead, which I wasn't expecting, as it means I don't need to carry a UK to EU adapter as well. I'm very happy that the BatPower adapter has USB sockets (two), so I can leave all my other adapters at home. The BatPower battery of course has another three USB sockets. All this multi-purposing means that although, as noted earlier, the whole bundle is quite heavy and bulky, it replaces a lot of other things, which largely compensates.Only negative comments, not too serious, is that the BatPower adapter is a bit larger than the SP OEM one (but, then, it has the two USB sockets); and while it’s great to have a little string bag for carrying the BatPower battery pack, the pack with its metal casing is very slippery inside this, and has fallen out several times (I’ve caught it in time!). Perhaps a felt back, or something that zips would be safer. After much searching, buying and returning, I bought this case, which perfectly fits the BatPower battery, adapter, leads and has some space left over for a few spare cables, an additional small external charger, some USB sticks, etc. That makes carrying everything much more compact and safer. It comes with a free small felt zip purse-shaped bag, which is perfect for all the leads, and fits nicely inside the larger case. This really does make the whole BatPower bundle fairly manageable and portable. I'd ideally like the Surface Pro to have 8-10 hours battery life, and not need to use this. But seeing as the SP has a miserable battery life, this BatPower pack is absolutely vital, and it does what it is designed to do fantastically well. It is expensive, but it falls into that category of products that are clearly of such high quality, and that evoke such total confidence, and are so versatile and functional, that you don't mind paying a bit more than normal.
