My son had developmental delay and this toy was used by his occupational therapist. The shapes are small enough for little hands, big enough that CAN'T be a choking hazzard. She would masking tap off the square and triangle holes and just offer the circle. The reward of the sound made him want to get it in. She rotated the taping off and introduced each shape individually for mastery. Than started with 2 holes and 1 shape and so on. NO BATTERIES and super fon when they use them as duck callers when blowing them like a party honker.

The shape sorter is good. Only 3 shape and will make sound without any batteries if you put the shapes in. The problem is my baby got scared of the sound since it is loud. So I returned it. In addition, There is a squeeker in the shape and if loose it could be choking hazard. The shape sorter also is made of plastic. If baby throws. It can crack

I bought two of these for my two toddlers.Both my boys are autistic and grew attached to one of these toys during medical appointment, so as soon as I could I ordered them their own!It feels durable, is fantastic value for money, the colours are bright and interesting and the shapes are the perfect size for little hands.It's also a fantastic way to teach shapes to little ones.My boys find the little sound the shapes make as they travel down the tubes very entertaining and we have already had many hours of fun with these.I would definitely recommend, especially to fellow parents of SEN children who have children like mine that adore putting objects in and out of things repetitively.
