These needles are fantastic!!!! I got them to do some work with seed beads on both kumihimo and a weaving loom and find them invaluable when picking up the beads.I would actually say that part of the downside is that there only three, as I often find I have need of more than just one at a time! And you may be saying "wait, one at a time? Didn't you just say there were three?" Yes. But all three of them are in different width and weights and I don't have the patience nor the grace to deal with the two thin and super-thin needles unless I come across a particularly small-holed bead. The thickest one is super durable and has stood up to me bending it in a hook and then unbending it like....6 different times. The construction of the needle is super sturdy and doesn't make me worry about needing to be careful with the needle itself like some other brands. It also clips onto my thread extremely well and very VERY rarely slips off! I've used sewing thread, embroidery thread, elastic thread, s Lon thread....all of it has held super well!I'm probably going to buy a bunch of these and hoard them because I'm truly happy with my decision to get them.

Clever and useful items for beading and other crafts. Very helpful if your thread breaks at a crucial point and you have to re-thread.

Threaded through the smallest hole

I have a very favorite beaded necklace. These are large ethnic beads on waxed cotton that looks like leather. It is such a favorite that I wore it thread bare. I am not a beader or crafter, just someone with a necklace that I knew needed restringing. The waxed cotton that was used is 1.5mm, so very large. I first found an old quilting needle and opened up the eye to accomodate this large twine. Everything was fine until I ran into beads that would not accomodate the thick material and the large eye. I was so glad to find these collapsible needles. I actually used two together as I was afraid one would break mid stringing. They did not. Not sure where they could be found other than Amazon. I called a few very large crafting stores and they did not have them. Do not hesitate to purchase if you have a project, large or small. They are a Godsend. These are great for stringing beads, they are really fine and perfect for what I need and easy to thread.
