It has one main big compartment to fit everything you need on a flight, this compartment has a padded laptop section at the back, the main compartment has a large zipped pocket on one side and two other open pockets on the other. On the outside it has two side bottle holders, strap at the back to hook over suitcase handles and three zipped pockets on the front, so no rummaging round in large compartment for items needed quickly.This bag would also be excellent to take down to the pool or the beach.It is also very reasonable priced. I got the green one which is a lovely colour.
