This router template arrives in a easy to recycle cardboard box. It's well made from a single nicely clear piece of acrylic.An acrylic that's covered in a thin film which did provide protection against transit damage. A film that I decided to leave on as it will also help to reduce the template from getting scratched. Something that's unavoidable in any workshop or creative space.Around the size of a A4 piece of paper it's not an overly large template. Though the 5mm thickness is just the right thickness for most of my router guide bushes. Annoyingly there's no mounting holes or points on this, plus the thin edge doesn't provide much room for clamps. But it's easy enough to use foam pads, duct or blue tape to hold it in place.Once secured it's simple and straightforward to follow the outline for routing. So I can easily create a nicely level recess with one of the 3 different sized rectangles. Though I will only do this with a router bush as a slip during freehand routing would damage the template.Nor would I use as the instructions suggest as a template for laser cutting. Though I would use as a drawing aid to align where my laser cutter could cut or engrave. It's also good for marking out areas of boards to be cut with a jigsaw or band saw. Especially as that helps to reduce waste when planning cuts on a board.Overall, Despite being small, this is a nice router template that I would recommend, especially given the reasonable price.

This router template is very handy for making sure you get the same cut outs every time.It comes with brown sticky paper on both sides to protect the perfectly clear acrylic (so don’t worry seeing the brown paper in my pics) and once you remove it, it makes for a great template that you can see other markings through to line it open perfectly.You can use it for marking out the areas you want to cut or as a router template guide if your router bit has a baring mounted that it can just glide round the inside of the acrylic template to give the same perfectly shape cut over and over.I love the design, and the pockets are good sizes. Priced currently at £9.99 it’s not a bad price and does a good job.
