Belangrijke Notitie:
1）Uni-directioneel, niet bidirectioneel
- Deze adapter wordt gebruikt om de HDMI-bron op het VGA-scherm aan te sluiten, het kan niet in de tegenovergestelde richting werken.
- Raadpleeg de onderstaande tabel voor de VGA-bron naar HDMI-monitoroplossing.
2）Compatibel met HDMI-apparaten met laag voltage
- Compatibel met apparaten met low-power HDMI-poorten zoals SONY PS4, Apple MacBook Pro met Retina Display, Mac mini en Apple TV
- Steek de USB-voedingskabel vóór gebruik in de 5V-stroombron, anders werkt de converter mogelijk niet goed.
3) Hoe te gebruiken met FireTV-stick
- Sluit de USB-oplaadkabel aan op de externe voeding
- Sluit de VGA-kabel aan op de monitor of de VGA-sleuf van de tv.
- Steek de Firestick in de Adpater
- En dan werkt het vlekkeloos.
- HOOP DE USB-VOEDINGSKABEL OP NAAR 5V STROOMBRON VOOR GEBRUIK, ANDERS WERKT DE CONVERTER MOGELIJK NIET GOED.

Requires external USB power, which is not shown on any of the pictures, nor listed in the description. The converter would be hanging off of an old display to breathe new life into it, so obviously said display does not have USB ports.

La mia intenzione era di comvertire un vecchio monitor full-HD della Dell in una TV per gli ospiti. Ho così comprato un Timvision box Atmosphere che in un colpo fornisce allo schermo un decoder DVB-T2, funzioni da smart TV e un audio tridimensionale. Restava solo da collegare l'uscita HDMI del box all'ingresso VGA del monitor... lì è iniziata l'odissea. Nessun adattatore o cavo riusciva a inviare il segnale video, finché non ho scoperto questo prodotto, che, oltre ad adattare i due formati, è alimentato tramite USB. Ecco la soluzione perfetta per casi simili al mio. Appena ho inserito l'alimentazione le immagini sono finalmente apparse sullo schermo! Approvato.

It is working for me. I have an older entertainment and business quality projector, ViewSonic PJD5211, made to upgrade input to the best projection. I bought it on closeout with a free 10'+ screen. It has four inputs for different types of connections, but not an HDMI. So basically, I could hook up cable, vcr, gaming systems and DVD players, but could not connect any HDMI device, so no blu- ray or modern ROKU or fire stick. This device was a perfect solution, from HDMI to RS232 VGA connector on the projector. Now I'm watching Blu-ray and ROKU. It does step down the resolution, but the projector picks up the slack. I just bought this, if things change I'll let you know. I have been looking for an adaptor like this for some time and I am very happy. I have two connections so I will be buying a second one. This device also has 3.5mm audio out and requires USB power inout (both included). Beware, though, when considering this item as most items like this; it is one direction conversion. You can input HDMI and go to RS232 VGA computer connection, but you cannot go the other way. Computer port conversion to HDMI will not work with this device.

I had an old monitor with VGA connector only, used the adapter to connect it on my laptop as a 2nd screen, works good, easy to install.
