I needed a way to quickly test a Roku 4k streaming stick without having to pull cables though my wall.Enter the "BENFEI HDMI Coupler". Connect the streaming stick to an existing HDMI cable and its just worked.I could discern no visible difference between the Roku connected directly to the TV and via this coupler. The TV did not act differently or report lower capabilities (which can happen when using cheaper cables).Physically they don't feel cheap and visually the plastics look higher quality that the myriad of bargain basement options.I don't know if all the HDMI pins are wired internally e.g the HDMI network pins, so I cant say for sure if it would work for more advanced connectivity like eARC but 4k HDR Dolby Vision requires everything in the connectivity chain to be HDCP compliant which hints that some effort has been made to do this right and not cheap out.I would recommend these, they just work and are cheap enough to buy-to-try for more advanced options.
