Clearly my own fault, I just saw 'extension' so presumed it would have a male end and a female end to extend the lighting board further back to rear of my boat. This has two identical ends, not sure how that extends, but if this design is what you require, I'm sure it works great. Quality product, fast delivery. But be sure its what you need!
