I have 8 grandkids, my house is on a hill. I got 2 of the berg carts and they race down the bumpy grass hill and the carts are holding up fine. We also took them to a campground for the weekend and the were a hit with all the kids. I have a 10yr old girl weighing 75 lb i would say that is about the limit for size. They do grate down hill and on flat ground, up hill not so much. Grandkids getting lots of exercise pulling them up the hill.

I bought this for my 5 year old boy because a few accidents have put him off using his bicycle, and I didn't want him missing out on outdoor pedalling fun. He loves the go kart and does not want to stop using it, so it was a good investment.It's very well-made and sturdy, and is definitely all of the 18.5kg weight stated in the listing, so keep this in mind if you have any physical disabilities, as the size, weight, and shape make it quite awkward to carry, especially through a house. But this is not some cheap, rattly go kart you might get somewhere like Home Bargains.The first time he used it was on rocky paths and lumpy grass, and he had no problems getting it going and picking up speed, despite not being used to pedalling, which is testament to its build quality.Assembly was very easy. The front part connects to the rear with one bolt, the wheels are connected by one bolt each, and the steering wheel is connected by one bolt, and that's it. The seat is drop-in with no bolts, making it easy to switch positions on the go. The instruction manual also gives an ongoing service/maintenance schedule. The Berg website sells spare parts, so it should be repairable if it's ever damaged.I would highly recommend this go kart if you are looking to pay a little more for a premium product and have the space to store it. Note that the difference between the Cross and most of the other Berg Buddys is the tyres. The Cross has all-terrain tyres, which are probably needed if you are going to use it on any slippery or loose ground. If you know you are only going to use it on smooth ground (e.g. asphalt), then the slicker tyres will probably be more suitable.
